Meet the team

With over 60 years of combined experience in the armed forces and the NHS, our dedicated team is ready to support you.

What is the Armed Forces Talent Programme?

The Armed Forces Talent Programme (AFTP) is at the forefront of supporting the armed forces community with career transition activities and access to career opportunities within NHSScotland. The AFTP team delivers a range of events, activities, and initiatives aimed at increasing the reach and reputation of NHSScotland within the armed forces community to:

  • Promote career opportunities and existing pathways to inspire potential applicants to pursue them.
  • Help NHSScotland employers to engage with the armed forces community and support them in meeting their Armed Forces Covenant employment-related pledges.

The programme is provided by NHS Education for Scotland (NES). NES assists NHSScotland employers to have the right people in the right place at the right time through education, training, and workforce development.

If you have any questions about the programme, please email the team at nes.armedforces@nhs.scot
