A Foundation Apprenticeship can be one of your subject choices in S4 and S5. They are accepted as an equivalent to an SQA Higher by most colleges and universities in Scotland.

What to expect

In the NHS, Foundation Apprenticeships are delivered by your local college, in partnership with an NHSScotland employer.

A Foundation Apprenticeship takes up to 2 years to complete. You'll spend time out of school attending college and your NHS work placement.
